::The Site::
Die-Banane Dot Net was purchased in May 2003 by Amanda Martin and Cara Westworth for $33 through Australian company
Click 'N' Go. It is currently hosted by our mate
Kimberly at A-K.Net. The site was bought as both Amanda and Cara were sick to death of GeoCities and Angelfire and were
seriously considering bombing the world in order to get rid of pop-ups.
The domain was named after a Die Ärzte song of the same name - Die Banane (The Banana), which features in it's original
form on the album Planet Punk and in a slightly more manic (and unplugged) version on last year's MTV Unplugged special,
Rock 'n' Roll Realschule.
It's, quite simply, the best. Song. Ever. And we demand you listen to it now.
::The Layout::
This version again features Die Ärzte, this time in superior, God-like comic form. The pictures were scanned
and taken from their second comic, Geschichten Aus Der Die Ärzte, drawn by the fabulously named
Schwarwel. The comic was released in 2001 by EEE. You can buy it online at Amazon.De.
The site was coded by Amanda and Cara using their hands and computers. They also used Kimberly's brain and some programs called
Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop and ImageReady. They listened to bad pop music such as Nena (Amanda) and sexy
German rock (Cara), drank copious amounts of coffee (Amanda) and Pepsi Max (Cara) while chatting on MSN Messenger to each other.

Version One.Oh | Like A Shot In The Head
Amanda didn't like this layout very much. However, it was necessary to launch D-B Dot Net onto the web, so
thar she blew. It featured pictures from the photoshoot for the 2000 album Runter mit den Spendierhosen, Unsichtbarer!,
a bizarre pop-art-esque effect and a very annoying image map. It lasted for five minutes before it was ripped
down and never, ever spoken of again.
