Casey Donovan - a sixteen year old hard-rocking music student who no-one knew existed until five months ago. Now, she's the most famous person in Australia, with her fame set to grow and her star on the rise thanks to winning the most popular television pop contest in the country, Australian Idol.

From her initial audition all those months ago, decked out in a jumper, shorts and Chucks; to her roof-raising winners performance dressed to the nines as a goth goddess, Casey's ability to touch a whole country through song has nothing to do with her image despite media scrutiny. Her tenacity, youthful optimism and obvious talent has impressed this cynical nation and lead her to become not only a role model but easily one of Australia's finest youth performers.
